First-aid kits for your home and for travelling
Little helpers (and larger ones, too) for you to keep at home or in your suitcase. On this page we have listed the essentials for your first-aid kit to keep at home. And in order for you to beginn the most beautiful time of the year well-prepared, we have also compiled a seperate list of the most important things to bring in your first-aid kit while travelling.
1. First-aid kit for your home
Bandage materials and tools
- Digital thermometer
- Disinfection spray
- Plasters, elastomull, sterile pads
- Tweezers
- Hot water bottle or cherry stone cushion
- Torch
Medication
- Wound and healing cream
- Ibuprofen or paracetamol as suppository or juice against fever and pain
- Decongestant nasal drops
- Simple teas like camomile, sage or fennel tea
2. First-aid kit for travelling
Standard equipment
- Thermometer
- if necessary daily medication (take sufficient supplies, we recommed to pack 1/3 in addition to the necessary amount for the duration of your trip)
Medication
- Electrolyte mixtures for diarrhoea and vomiting
- Dimenhydrinate for motion sickness
- Ibuprofen/Paracetamol for pain/fever
- Nose drops
First aid for injuries
- Bandage materials
- Disinfection for wounds
- Splinter tweezers (also suitable for removing ticks)
Protection against sun
- Cream with high UV-A and UV-B sun protection factor (SPF 20 and higher)
Protection against insects
- after age 2: Products with the active ingredient Icaridin
- after age 9: DEET in a higher concentration (50%)
- Carry half of your important emergency and daily medication in your hand luggage in case your suitcase is lost.
